In October 2009, Dawn and Nino Scaffidi, both natives of Steubenville, Ohio opened their restaurant with the hopes of bringing the feeling of "Grandma's House on Sunday" to the people of Steubenville. Opening in a small home-like setting that sat approximately 25 people, the Scaffidi Family was proud to offer their family's recipes and traditions.

Shortly after opening, it became apparent that the restaurant, then Scaffidi's Pasta, had outgrown its small location and the search for a new location quickly began. A location very close to the original space was found and made into the restaurant that it is today. In August 2011, Scaffidi's Pasta became Scaffidi's Restaurant and Tavern to signify the opening of its new bar and lounge area at its location where the restaurant is currently housed.

Growing literally 10X overnight, the Scaffidi Family was proud to be able to offer the same homemade cuisine that it did from day one - from homemade pastas to sauces to soups and much more.

With its new location, the Scaffidi Family was able to begin its catering service, SRG Catering Service with space at its Scaffidi's Restaurant and Tavern location.

Scaffidi's Restaurant and Tavern is owned and operated by the Scaffidi Restaurant Group, a growing full-service Foodservice Corporation based in Steubenville, Ohio.
